Bell Helmets, Inc. is a company with an interesting history. It was a company that sold auto parts started by George Wight in Bell, California, in 1923.However, it wasn’t until 1954 that the first Bell helmet was manufactured. It was known as the “500.” Since then, the company has been producing various designs for helmets and has become one of the leading helmet manufacturers in the world.
The Volt has 22 huge vents through carbon fiber intakes. The intakes provide two functions. First, they give integrity to the structural design to make it compact and more efficient. Second, they force airflow through the internal StreamJet Ventilation channels. To provide for additional strength and durability, an internal reinforcement cage was integrated into the design. The Bell Volt helmet only weighs 280g.
The Twin Axis Gear retention system of the Bell Volt provides an excellent fit to any head shape and adjusts the mechanism’s horizontal position on the back of the head. The inside lining of the helmet is quick drying and has anti-microbial X-Static padding. A variable position visor, which can be removed any time, allows this helmet to double up for duty on and off the road.
The Bell Volt helmet is available in three sizes and a selection of colors to suit any taste and preference. Sizes include small at 51-55 cm, medium which caters for 55-59 cm heads and a large size, which offers protection up to 63 cm.
